Oh that is beyond frustrating and yet you are right here with us making us think twice about our own dependence and independence. My hat is off to you. Your writing is marvelous!

Thank you so much! It's been a while now, and it's been an adjustment. And independence definitely means different things to different people, but often it's interesting to stop and think about so many of the things we take for granted, and how, if it changes, it would impact our lives. 😀

All you can be is yourself! That is our greatest challenge to be ourselves but most never get a chance for that under the social engineering that is prevalent in our society

Exactly! And for context, the person saying such to me is also pretty much afraid of their own shadow, told me also that they don't believe in the idea of "finding oneself," and didn't think I should take a road trip on my own, so whatever ...

Most people do not investigate themselves and that is why so much of the people on the planet are a mess. They do not know themselves as they are to busy telling people about themselves. That is why. The messiness starts with the individual not the collective. So for me it is up to the individual not the collective.
